Dest suffers right thigh injury

Barcelona have published through their official channels the official medical report of Sergino Dest. The American suffers an "injury in the semitendinosus of the right thigh" and will be out for the next matches of the Spanish club.

Although Barça have not informed of the 21-year-old's injury time, it is clear that, he will miss Mallorca's visit to Camp Nou in La Liga next Sunday. 

More problems for a Xavi Hernandez who not only had to watch Rayo Vallecano surprisingly take all three points at Camp Nou on Sunday. He was also forced to substitute Dest at half-time in the Liga match and bring on Lenglet in his place.

The American right-back had just come back from injury and had made his return to the squad on 13 April. At the time, Dest had recovered from a left thigh biceps femoris injury sustained against Galatasaray in the last 16 of the Europa League, the opposite leg to the injury he now suffers.

This is the official Barcelona medical statement:

"Tests carried out on the first team player Sergiño Dest have confirmed that the player has injured the semitendinosus muscle in his right hamstring. The player is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return." reads the brief statement.
