An entertaining half at Selhurst Park was topped off with an outrageous volley from Jermaine Defoe at the stroke of half time to draw the game level.

Bournemouth were trailing at Crystal Palace and the game was edging closer to the break before Defoe scored a fantastic leveller.

The long ball sailed over the top of the Palace defence and Defoe found himself at a difficult angle, but he managed to loop a superb volley over Speroni and into the corner of the net.
