De Bruyne all smiles on return to City training

The Belgian ace suffered a knee injury after the opening weekend of the current Premier League campaign, as Manchester City opened their account in emphatic fashion by beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates. 

However he result was somewhat soured for the 'Citizens' with the later injury to De Bruyne; who was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, a big concern for the champions as the Belgian was one of their standout players the previous season. 

In the absence of the playmaker; City have won five matches and drawn two, and now sit level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool, while holding a superior goal difference.

De Bruyne was see laughing and joking with some of his City teammates, and manager Pep Guardiola; a strong portion of the squad are still either on international duty this week.

Among the stars on international duty, Raheem Sterling dazzled for England in Seville, putting an end to the critics of his international career, with a strong display and a cool scoring touch.

The England forward netted twice in the first half, the first within 15 minutes of kick-off, to help Gareth Southgate's side to an historic 3-2 win over Spain.
