Chelsea continued their flying start to the Premier League this season, handing Burnley a 4-0 defeat at Turf Moor on Sunday, and defender David Luiz thinks it is down to the management of 'great human' Maurizzio Sarri.
The 'Blues' have dropped points to Burnley in each of the last two years; but an emphatic performance, supplemented by goals from Morata, Barkley, Willian and Loftus-Cheek, saw them run away with proceedings this past weekend.
Chelsea remain unbeaten in all competitions this season, with the exception of the community shield, and much of the credit has gone to Italian coach Maurizzio Sarri for the transformation that the club has undergone in recent months.
Defender David Luiz thinks that this praise is justified, as the ex-Napoli boss has improved and taught the Chelsea squad a new, exciting way of playing football since taking charge in the summer.
Speaking about the Italian after the win at Burnley, Luiz was full of praise for the manager, saying: "'I'm so happy because he's a great human, he knows how to teach us, he knows how to improve us. When it's like that it's easy to understand and easy to try to be a fantastic player inside the pitch."
Luiz suffered a serious knee injury at the beginning of last season, but when he did recover to full fitness, he was essentially frozen out of the Chelsea squad, for vocalising his dislike of then manager Antonio Conte's tactics.
However, this season could not have panned out any more differently for the defender, who has been in sensational form, and has been an ever present figure on the Chelsea team sheet under new boss Sarri.
The performance at Burnely highlights the lift that Sarri has given to his squad, as they thumped the hosts by a four goal margin, even without talisman Eden Hazard.
Luiz spoke of the absence of Hazard after the victory of Turf Moor, stating: "'I think we have many talented players, it's not just Eden. We lost Pedro [to illness], and then Ruben came on. This is a big club and we cannot just play with 11 players. [We need a] minimum of 18, 19 players ready to play and we are happy because we have more than 20."
He continued the interview, by taking the chance to praise striker Alvaro Morata, exclaiming: "Alvaro is a great player, he's doing amazing. Sometimes when the strikers don't score so the pressure starts on them. They love to score goals. I would just say to him to keep doing what he is doing and the goals are going to come naturally like they came today."
Luiz concluded his chat with the media by quashing talk of a Chelsea title charge, explaining that it is too early to rule them in or out just yet.
The Brazilian said: "I had the opportunity to play in many fantastic squads, I won with great teams but also lost with great teams. I think with this team it's trying to improve every single day. The manager is here for three or four months now so he's trying to improve our style of football, our philosophy. The Premier League is not easy but it's just the beginning. We're keeping our feet on the ground."
