Cristiano sends a message of unity after his substitution: "Luxury display"

Cristiano Ronaldo's clashes with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United have put the football world on alert whenever there are chances of the '7' getting angry. It was the case in Portugal's victory over Switzerland in the last 16 of the World Cup in Qatar, as Fernando Santos, after his player made a controversial gesture against South Korea, left him on the bench, from where he watched his compatriots win 6-1 - he came on in the second half.

Many fans thought that perhaps the former United player had been upset by his substitution, but nothing could be further from the truth. On his Instagram profile, he posted a picture with his teammates along with a text in which you can see how proud he is of the good teamwork. He also highlighted the youth and talent of the squad, which means that he is opening the door to new generations.

"Incredible day for Portugal, with a historic result in the world's top football competition. A luxury display from a team full of talent and youth. The dream is alive, until the end! Let's go, Portugal!" he wrote with a picture of himself shaking hands with Rafael Leao, who appears next to Ruben Dias with Joao Felix.

On social media, it seemed that Cristiano was not going to be this happy about the win because of some screenshots that seem to show him leaving the pitch prematurely as his teammates celebrated with the fans. It is true that he left early, but it is also true that, beforehand, he thanked the fans for their support like the rest of the squad.
