Cristiano Ronaldo was one of those to win a prize at the 12th edition of the 'Globe Soccer Awards'. The Portuguese received the award for the best goalscorer in history, but he was unable to collect it as he did not attend the ceremony in Dubai.
The Man Utd player had the opportunity to send a video of appreciation. "I can't be there unfortunately, but I want to thank everyone for this achievement and I hope we see each other next year," he said.
The man responsible for picking up the prize was Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes. He was full of praise for Cristiano Ronaldo. "I believe it's the greatest achievement in football. It's very difficult to score 800 goals, only Cristiano is capable. He's the best in the world and in history."
Although he is not having his best season, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the main man for Man Utd after his return to Old Trafford and, recently, he became the first footballer in history to reach 800 goals.
