Cole Palmer to Man Utd? Former coach says it's "open secret" he's a Red Devils fan

Cole Palmer has emerged as a pivotal figure for Chelsea, transforming into a global star after limited opportunities at Manchester City. Yet, his trajectory with the 'Sky Blues' may have been destined for a premature end due to one fundamental reason: his true club allegiance.
The midfielder is reportedly a fervent supporter of their arch-rivals, Manchester United. This assertion comes from René Meulensteen, Sir Alex Ferguson's former assistant at Old Trafford, who, in an interview with 'Grosvenor Sport', voiced his desire to see Cole Palmer don the red jersey one day.
"It's practically an open secret that Cole Palmer is a Manchester United fan. What surprises me is that he slipped through United's grasp, ended up at Manchester City, and Chelsea ultimately gave him the chance," the Dutchman stated.
Prying the Englishman away from Stamford Bridge will be no easy task. He is under contract until 2033, but Meulensteen insists anything is possible: "I know he has a long contract with Chelsea, but sometimes things don't work out, and clubs and players go their separate ways. United would then be interested, and it would certainly be a great destination for him."
"After all, Cole Palmer is a Manchester United fan and could elevate the club to a higher level," he added.
