Christensen's contract extension is imminent

The Danish defender will remain at Chelsea for a couple more seasons, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist didn't report for how many years is he signing for, but he reports that the center-back and the British club have reached an agreement. 

Both parties have agreed on everything, which means that the only thing remaining is the club's official statement. Christensen would have become a free agent in June 2022.

Two clubs showed interest in the Danish international, however, the defender was sure he was going to remain a Chelsea player.

The 25-year-old is playing his seventh season at Stamford Bridge and his new contract will keep him there for many more years.
