10 Chinese visitors were at the KCom Stadium to witness Hull's 2-1 victory over Premier League champions Leicester and they may complete the takeover of the club within the coming days.
The current owners, the Allam family, have been hoping to sell the club for a year, and have proven to be controversial figures.
Firstly, they tried to change the name of the team from Hull City AFC to Hull Tigers. Then the Egyptian family scrapped season tickets in favour of a monthly membership scheme that did not include concession discounts.
It now looks like Hull may have finally found potential suitors, with Mike Phelan saying it could be an important few days for the club.
"It might be a big week for this club," he said.
Despite this, he still thinks that feet must remain on the ground.
"But there’s been talk of it being taken over for eight to 12 months now," he added.
