Chelsea take the lead as Colwill capitalises on defensive error

The final matches of the 2024/25 Premier League season are being played with European places still very much at stake. Liverpool have already secured the title, but the race for Champions League qualification remains fierce from second to eighth place.

At the City Ground, Chelsea took the lead just five minutes into the second half thanks to a goal from Levi Colwill. The young defender found the net after a defensive mistake by Nottingham Forest, giving the visitors a vital advantage.

This goal puts Enzo Maresca’s side in a strong position to secure a top-four finish if they can hold on for all three points. Nottingham Forest, for their part, need a response to try to play in European competition next season and live up to the great season they have had.
