Chelsea join United and Newcastle in the race for Diogo Costa

Diogo Costa, goalkeeper for Porto and the Portuguese national team, has burst onto the top level of football with a great performance and this has led him to be on the radar of the main European clubs. 

The goalkeeper has long been on the radar of the likes of United and Newcastle but, as reported by 'Relay', Chelsea have joined the race to secure his services for next season. 

Jorge Mendes, Diogo Costa's agent, is working with the aim of closing a big transfer deal. The agent has told Porto that he will send them a proposal of around 75 million euros next summer. 

Diogo Costa started for Portugal in their World Cup opener in Qatar against Ghana. In that match, the goalkeeper conceded two goals and made a mistake that almost cost his team two points.
