While Real Madrid are shedding some of their biggest names this summer, they are looking to hold on to a few. The club have announced the departures of Karim Benzema, who looks set to join the Saudi league, Mariano Diaz, Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio, who is on the verge of completing a deal with PSG.
One of their mainstays that they are looking to retain is Dani Ceballos. Out of contract next June, he still hasn't agreed to an extension with Madrid. But the situation could be sorted in a few days. According to Spanish outlet 'AS', the management at Real Madrid are optimistic about getting the midfielder to sign.
The club he joined in 2017 have offered him a contract for three seasons, alongside a slight salary increase. Up til now, the Andalusian had been hesitant to renew, due to a lack of game time, but Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly reassured him of change there. Ceballos has played in 46 matches with a total of barely 2,000 minutes (out of a possible 4000).
