Carvajal warns Mbappe: "There are opportunities which only come once"

Dani Carvajal is clear. Mbappe has turned down Real Madrid and that is acceptable, but it could be that he will never have that opportunity ever again. The Madrid defender spoke to 'ABC' about Real Madrid's current situation and how they are preparing for the Champions League. He also had a dig at Barcelona.
"Mbappe? He has been subjected to quite strong pressure from Paris, the Sheikhs, PSG's themselves and the fans love him a lot. Now, if I'm honest with you, when Real Madrid want you, it's very difficult to say no and there are trains which come just once. You have to be in his head. He's French and from Paris. He's playing for PSG, he's the best player for his country and it must be very difficult to come out of that comfort zone. But I insist, there are 'trains' that pass just once and Madrid are more important than any player," he said.
"Are there different rules in the transfer market? Well I don't know what to tell you. Look at Barcelona, who have lost money and they are also signing players. Therefore, it's difficult to make an analysis of how clubs like PSG, Man City and Barcelona are," he admitted. Carvajal then focussed on Madrid and was pleased about the current season.
"It could be the most complete Champions League performance. This and the last won we won when we beat PSG, Juventus and Bayern before Liverpool in the final. But, as of today, given how football is, you don't win by splashing the cash, but almost. Other leagues have an important amount of money pumped into them and, whether you like it or not, many of the top players go to play in those leagues," he added.
"Salah and revenge? I don't know if they feel like taking revenge. It's true that, when you lose a Champions League final, you always want to have a second opportunity against that same team to beat them. Let's hope that it's not a big problem for Salah to lose a second Champions League final against Real Madrid," Carvajal concluded.
