Carrasco turns down England and prefers Barca move

In the January transfer window, Atletico Madrid signed Memphis Depay. Barca asked for Carrasco in exchange, but 'Los Rojiblancos' said no. However, Barca were given the opportunity to buy him before anyone else in the summer. 

Carrasco is in great form and clubs are all over him. As well as this interest from Barca, 'Sport' reports that Man Utd, Newcastle and Tottenham asked Carrasco's agent Pini Zahavi about the player in January. 

The Belgian is clear: he wants to play at Barca in the 2023-24 season. That is what his agent reportedly told the Catalan giants. The footballer will prioritise an offer from Barcelona over any other, although this was agreed by the clubs anyway. 

Barca are celebrating the footballer's decision because they are looking to sign the footballer as soon as they get the chance to and that is what they have reportedly told them. That said, Carrasco will have to be patient because Barca have no room for manouvre because of Financial Fair Play rules.

Atletico Madrid will not oppose his departure, completely the opposite. The Catalan paper says that Atletico did not want him to leave in January, but that they will let him go in June.
