"Busquets is part of our crest"

Sergio Busquets officially announced on Wednesday that he will leave Barcelona at the end of the season. There are five games left to see the midfielder in a Barcelona shirt.

Many people wanted to say goodbye to the 'Cules' captain. One of them was Barcelona's president Joan Laporta, who dedicated some beautiful words to him.

"He is an exemplary person, an exceptional player who comes from La Masia. He is the third player with the most appearances in history, more than 700. He has been defending the Barça colours, our crest, for 15 years and is one of those players from the team of the 'sextete", began the president.

Laporta considers Busquets to be "an excellent person and a great captain". "He is an exemplary person who is part of our crest," he added.

"We talked about it when he told me the decision he had taken. Sergio is part of our crest and he will always have Barcelona as his home," Laporta said.
