Burnley want Mckenna as Gibson looks set to leave!
Burnley's season with Sean Dyche has not been the best and they could now suffer the exit of one of their best players. Ben Gibson is on several of the Bundesliga team's agendas, although the English team already seem to have found his replacement.
According to the 'Daily Mail', the directors at Turf Moor are interested in Scott McKenna, an Aberdeen player in the Scottish League. The footballer already wanted to leave his current club in the summer and could quickly accept a possible offer from the Clarets.
The Scottish centre-back is not going to be an easy footballer to get for Burnley, as there are other clubs who are also interested in him. Aston Villa, Stoke City, Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers also have him on their agendas and his market price, of around 12 million, could increase.
If McKenna, who currently has a contract with Aberdeen until 2023, arrives at Sean Dyche's team, the board would be open to letting Gibson negotiate his move to the Bundesliga in the winter market.
