Bristol City keeper out for up to four months

Earlier this month the 28-year-old damaged his ankle ligaments whilst playing for the Under-21s. 

Fielding had to undergo surgery and will be sidelined for up to four months. 

Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson told Sky Sports, "Unfortunately Frankie has had to undergo an operation on a high ankle ligament injury where it's split in half,

"It's quite a nasty one so his recovery time is going to be a good three to four months, which is unfortunate for him because he's had a bit of an up and down season with injuries.

"I know that he's frustrated and so are we, but he's had the operation and it's gone very well, which is good.

"He's a great kid so he'll bounce back, but it just means his summer is cut down a little bit due to obviously having to rehabilitate the injury."
