The 'Daily Mail' are reporting that Brighton are close to bringing in highly-rated Ecuadorian Billy Arce and Iran international Morteza Pouraliganji.
Billy Arce, who has been described as a 'wonderkid', will sign a four-year contract then be immediately loaned out to Albacete - where Andres Iniesta started his junior career.
Arce has made 22 appearances this season for Independiente scoring seven goals.
The 'Seagulls' are also reportedly interested in the services of Iran international and free-agent Morteza Pouraliganji.
Pouraliganji, 26, is available on a free-transfer after his contract with Qatari side Al-Sadd expired on July 1.
Pouraliganji has 30 Iran caps and played every minute of their World Cup campaign.
Brighton have had a busy transfer window. Chris Hughton has already broken the club's transfer record twice bringing in Jürgen Locadia from PSV for £14 million and Alireza Jahanbakhsh for £17m.
