Borussia Monchengladbach table £15m bid for Chelsea player

Reports in Germany are claiming that Borussia Monchengladbach want to sign Chelsea's Andreas Christensen on a permanent basis.

Gladbach are set to make the recently turned 20-year-old their record signing with a bid of €20million (£15.2million).

The player is currently on a two-year loan at the Bundesliga side, and has impressed since arriving, playing in 31 of 34 league games, meaning that Gladbach want to sign him permanently.

However, Chelsea might be unwilling to sell the player, as his impressive performances have seen him tipped to become a replacement for John Terry at the London club.

In order to try and convince the Blue's, the German side are reportedly willing to include a buy-back clause in his contract, like they did with Thorgan Hazard who they also signed from Chelsea earlier this year.
