After ending a season in which Leeds were close to gaining automatic promotion and ended up finishing third in the Championship, the good work by 'El Loco' at Leeds United did not go unnoticed for several teams and Sampdoria are one of them.
The Italian outfit look to cover their backs against the large possibility of their current coach, Marco Giampaolo, leaving the club to go and coach elsewhere. He has been linked with AC Milan and everything seems to indicate that he will accept the Rossoneri's offer.
Therefore, Marcelo Bielsa's name is now on the list of possible substitutes for Marco Giampaolo. The Argentinian coach is a priority for Sampdoria, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', but there are other names like Stefano Pioli, De Zerbi, Mihajlovic and Gattuso which are also linked.
It is worth pointing out that this is the second time Bielsa has been linked with Sampdoria, since he received an offer from them in 2015 which he ended up rejecting.
