Karim Benzema has reached 50 goals in the Champions League after netting twice in Real Madrid's match against Borussia Dortmund.
The Frenchman scored in the 28th and 53rd minutes to give Madrid a 2-0 lead at the Santiago Bernabeu as they sought to claim top spot in Group F.
By netting his 49th and 50th goals in the competition, he has overtaken Real legend Alfredo Di Stefano in the all-time rankings and drawn level with Thierry Henry.
Among active players, Benzema is third behind Cristiano Ronaldo (95) and Lionel Messi (93), with Thomas Muller (38) his closest rival participating in this season's Champions League.
The 28-year-old will now aim to overtake two more famous ex-Madrid players in Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy, who sit third and fourth in the all-time charts with 71 and 56 goals respectively.
With his 50 goals coming in 88 matches in the Champions League, Benzema has a better strike rate than both Raul and Henry.
