Despite the fact Real Madrid lifted the trophy under Zinedine Zidane, Rafa Benitez received the same 600,000 euro bonus as the players did for wining the Champions League, as he coached them during the early stages of the competition.
Under the 'controversial' coach, the team enjoyed an impressive group stage campaign, winning five games and drawing one to remain unbeaten.
Benitez arrived at Los Blancos in June 2015, but after a turbulent spell which saw the Spaniard fall out with many of the players, he left the club prematurely.
It is believed that the French coach received a bonus of double the amount of his predecessor.
