Current Monaco captain Radamel Falcao has been earmarked as a plausible target for David Beckham's new franchise Inter Miami, as they look to add a star name to their starting roster in the MLS.
The Colombian has been a prolific goalscorer throughout the majority of his career; first with Porto, Atlético Madrid and now current club Monaco. His exploits on England's shores were much less fruitful however, as in spells with Chelsea and Manchester United he only mustered five goals in 41 appearances.
In contrast, Falcao's prowess on the continent is undisputed, and having faced the striker himself during his time in France with PSG, Beckham is keen to make a marquee signing for his new franchise so that it has the best possible chance of success.
Despite a slightly slow start to this season having only scored three goals in nine appearances so far, Inter Miami are growing increasingly interested in the services of 'EL Tigre'. His form with Monaco in recent years, especially in 2017 when he fired them to the Ligue 1 title over favorites PSG, has attracted much interest from the United States from not only Beckham's Inter Miami but also Columbus Crew.
Just last week it was reported that Beckham and other founding members of Inter Miami had opened a dialogue with Zinedine Zidane over a potential offer of managing the club, as well as sounding out the possibility of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to the United States.
