Bayern Munich approach Zinedine Zidane

The Bayern Munich bench remains a question mark ahead of next season. The departure of Thomas Tuchel in June is a fact, but it is still unknown who his replacement will be. According to 'Marca', the Bavarian team called Zinedine Zidane, which adds another name to the list that the Munich board are considering. 

According to the Madrid daily, the German board has approached the ex-footballer's agent. The aim of the call was to inform the Frenchman of Bayern's interest in acquiring his services. And thus, also to know if the former Marseille player is willing to return to the bench or not.

Zidane has not managed a club since the end of his second spell in charge of Real Madrid. Although it is true that he has been linked with various projects such as PSG and the French national team. 

The confirmation that Xabi Alonso will continue at Leverkusen for another year has eliminated an option that was very much on the cards. In fact, it is a deal, that of signing the coach who has excelled in the Bundesliga in the previous year, which Bayern are very keen to repeat and difficult to turn down. They already did it with Julian Nagelsmann.

The German coach is another name on the table to return to his former home. Should Nagelsmann leave the German national team after the European Championships, he could take his place at the Allianz Arena once again. 

The story of Bayern Munich and their new coach still has many chapters to run, but June is approaching and one of Europe's biggest clubs is without a coach. Zidane is the latest name to be added to a list that seems to have no end in sight.
