Bayern have a new midfield talent in Aleksandar Pavlovic

Bayern Munich's emphatic 8-0 victory over Darmstadt on Saturday, in a game marked by a number of red cards, saw one player get his first minutes with the first team: Aleksandar Pavlovic.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who played in last season's Youth League and some of the Bavarians' friendlies this summer, Pavlovic was on Thomas Tuchel's bench for the sixth time this season last weekend, and was allowed to start for just 15 minutes.
Four days later, the reigning German champions announced that the German had signed a professional contract with the first team until June 2027.
"His career should serve as an example to our young players and show them that it is possible to reach the top through the youth academy," said Jan-Christian Dreesen, the club's CEO.
For his part, the German team's gem made no secret of his delight at the signing: "It's been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me at the FC Bayern campus. I want to learn from every training session and I'm going to keep working hard on myself."
