Real Sociedad and Paris Saint-Germain face each other in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 in San Sebastian on Tuesday. With the 2-0 win in the first leg in Paris, Real Sociedad are focusing on sporting matters, but in the run-up to the game, a group of fans, the most violent, have once again caused a stir in the hours leading up to the clash.
The Ertzaintza, the Basque Country's police force, released a video of the material they were able to confiscate this morning from specific groups of Real Sociedad and PSG fans. Ultras who were carrying dangerous material with the intention of meeting up for a mass brawl on Tuesday.
More than a dozen golf clubs, ice axes (mountaineering equipment), bars, crutches, flares, knives, screwdrivers, gloves, balaclavas, metal bars... an important weaponry that was going to be used for violent behaviour in the run-up to the match.

A bus of PSG ultras was detected in the Behobia area, a neighbourhood of Irun near San Sebastian. The Ertzaintza stopped it, identified some of the members and returned it to France. They belong to a group of PSG ultras who had met with some members of the Bultzada in a neighbourhood of San Sebastian before the Real Sociedad-PSG match.
Apart from this violent group, the PSG fans have their meeting point in the Alderdi Eder gardens. Accompanied, guarded and escorted by the Ertzaintza, they will leave for the Reale Arena at around 19.00.
