Barcelona willing to negotiate for Araujo transfer

Centre-back Ronald Araujo has a contract with Barcelona until 2026 and, although less than a month ago Joan Laporta was clear that he was not going to part with the Uruguayan, things have changed.

'Sport' claims that Araujo is no longer untouchable or untransferable. Barca are willing to listen to possible offers that could arrive at Camp Nou this summer for the defender.

If the Catalan club wants to sign, they will have to sell. The Uruguayan is one of the players who has the most clubs interested in him at international level. In fact, the board of directors believe that they could get 100 million euros for his transfer. If someone puts that figure on the table, the Catalan side will not even have to think about it.

The Catalan newspaper explains why Araujo's situation has changed in recent weeks. His sending off against PSG in the last Champions League match would have opened a breach that has put him in the target. In addition to that, Cubarsi's high level. The 'Cules' believe that with the young talent the position could be well covered and they could, therefore, do without the Uruguayan.

'Sport' maintains that Araujo is not closed to leaving either. In fact, he would look favourably on an exit. The Uruguayan, therefore, could be living his last months as a 'Cule' player.
