Barcelona on verge of agreeing €60m deal for Dani Olmo

Barcelona have found a way to meet the 60 million euros Leipzig want for Dani Olmo. They will pay 47 this summer to seal his landing, add three depending on how many games he plays and add a further 10 if he lifts any silverware. In this way, the Bundesliga side practically secures the amount it wanted from the start, but with budget facilities for the Spaniard.

Fabrizio Romano and ‘Mundo Deportivo’ on Thursday morning reported that the negotiations have reached a successful conclusion. The Italian journalist assures that the European champion with the Spanish national team has already accepted the contractual conditions that Deco's sporting management is proposing. In fact, he says he is confident that the matter will be resolved in the next few hours.

The Catalan daily specified the agreement between the Catalan side's board and that of the fourth-placed side in the Bundesliga. An important element of the talks has been that the arrival of Nico Williams from Athletic has lost chances of happening, as his clause was 60 million, just what had to be detached from the balance of the ‘Cules’ to make the operation of his compatriot.

Dani Olmo is very close to returning to the Barcelona academy where he trained before being snapped up by Dinamo Zagreb. Since then, he has played abroad, so he has never played on home soil since he turned professional. Throughout the whole of the ‘la Roja’ training camp, he was in favour of a change of scenery, taking advantage of the numerous interviews in which he participated, so now he has his wish fulfilled, in the absence of official confirmation.
