Mason Greenwood, who is on loan at Getafe from Manchester United, is being targeted by several European clubs for next campaign. Barcelona were the main contenders to negotiate for his transfer but they have reportedly lost interest in him.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan giants have dropped out of the race for his services and are not working on signing him at the moment as they are focused on other targets.
The La Liga outfit are aware that they have to bolster several positions in their squad and that they do not have as much budget as they would like. As a result, they are being cautious with their next reinforcements although United are willing to listen to offers for Greenwood.
The Manchester outfit will listen to a number of proposals for his services in the coming months as the board consider whether to begin negotiations with the player to return to the Premier League.
While the Red Devils make a decision on his future, Greenwood reportedly wants to stay in Spain to continue his career. The forward is slowly building his professional life after his legal incidents in England and is not considering a return at the moment.
