Barcelona will play the second semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup against Osasuna in Riyadh on Thursday. Beforehand, Ronald Araujo attended a press conference to analyse the clash and talk about his future.
The Uruguayan centre-back was questioned about Bayern Munich's interest: "If they called me? These are rumours that always come up, but I'm focused on Barcelona," he said.
"I take on the responsibility of wearing the captain armband for Barcelona at the age of 24, and I try to help the team with my spirit and by encouraging the team if the results are not good," added the Uruguay international.
Despite the current form of the Catalan giants, Araujo is confident of taking a step forward and winning the Spanish Super Cup for the second time in a row.
"We are working on correcting mistakes, on conceding fewer goals, which is what gave us La Liga title last season, and we are on the right track," said the Barcelona defender, who said of Osasuna that they are "a great rival" in "a semi-final", but that they will try to "win" with their "style, but it will be difficult".
"We come here mentally well, we are coming off the back of a win, which is always important. We have a great team and we want this Spanish Super Cup, which was very important last year", he explained.
