According to 'Sport', Barcelona have put Samuel Umtiti up for sale. The need to sell players and the defender's poor performances last season have made the club put him up for sale this summer.
The paper highlighted the need for the club to cash in on players in order to make the big money signings of Neymar and Antoine Griezmann. Umtiti played just 15 games last season.
Samuel Umtiti had lost his status in the dressing room and in the club. He upset the board last summer with his demands to renew his contract and he upset his teammates this Winter when he did not go to theatre to get treatment on an injury.
Despite the fact Clement Lenglet had sealed his place in the back line alongside Gerard Pique, the failure to get Matthijs de Ligt had given Umtiti hope of staying at Barcelona.
However, 'Sport' reports this Tuesday that the club are willing to listen to offers for the Frenchman. They have a put a 50 million price tag on him. A figure which is quite low in comparison with other players such as the 36 million Napoli paid Roma for Manolas.
