Barca forget about Neves: Man Utd looming

Barcelona are starting to drop names from their shortlist and one of them is Ruben Neves. The 'Cule' side will not be knocking on Wolves' door in the summer to negotiate the transfer of the Portuguese midfielder.
According to 'Sport', Xavi Hernandez did not like his profile when the transfer could be carried out. In addition, the Barca sporting department will prioritise reinforcing other positions on the pitch beyond the midfield.
What's more, Joan Laporta reached an economic agreement with Ruben Neves' agent, Jorge Mendes, which was favourable for Barcelona, according to the aforementioned media. However, this negotiation was stalled.
The Mirror reported that Wolves set the '8's price tag at 50 million pounds, a figure that Manchester United will be willing to reach. At the moment, the Red Devils are leading the race for the services of the Portuguese midfielder.
Ruben Neves is Julen Lopetegui's side star: he has played 33 games this season and scored five goals. The Molineux Stadium club are living in the doldrums of the Premier League, three points clear of relegation.
