Barca and Juventus study swap involving Arthur and Pjanic

'RAC1' revealed information which would mean a new way of doing transfer business for Barcelona. Barca and Juventus are apparently looking at a straight swap including Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic.

Neymar and Lautaro are the main men talked about when it comes to Barcelona signings, but 'RAC1' talked about a different deal. The Catalan radio station says there could be a straight swap between Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic.

Sources assure that both clubs have apparently weighed up that possibility which is surprising news.

We are talking about a 23 year-old Brazilian with a long career ahead of him and a Bosnian who is 30 and coming towards the end of his career.

The Juventus midfielder is the typical player who has always been on Barcelona's agenda as well as Real Madrid's due to the fact he has lots of quality and has been at the top for several years.

Nevertheless, Barca made an important signing to get Arthur two years ago to replace Xavi. That said, his performances have been inconsistent in recent months and that has meant he is no longer non-transferable.

The Brazilian though has absolutely no interest in leaving the Camp Nou. The move though would be doable in the current climate as it would be a swap deal. Any big money signings look off the table for now due to COVID-19.
