Luis Enrique made his debut as a streamer on Twitch. The Spanish national team coach smashed it and managed to get a crowd of 150,000 people. Cesar Azpilicueta, before the Costa Rica game, admitted that amongst those who were watching the stream were some Spain players.
"We were in the games room and we were watching it. We are already waiting for this Saturday's, we'll carry on watching", he commented.
During the live, Luis Enrique spoke about Costa Rica as a South American country and not one from Central America. Azpilicueta defended him for it: "We can all have a lapse and we can get things wrong without meaning bad", he replied to a Costa Rican journalist's question.
Azpilicueta supported Luis Enqrique's new fase as a streamer and his qualities as a coach. "I don't know if you all saw it, but some of us follow it together. The boss is how he is, he gives confidence across to us players. He gives a message out. it's the way he is, I haven't got much more to say, and on the inside the ideas he tells us are clear with regards to what he wants us to do on the pitch. He always wants to help the group", he said.
As for him, Azpilicueta said he would not be able to do a one hour live stream like Luis Enrique did. "I couldn't do it like he does. It's a change, what the people demand, which is a form that we never would have imagined. It's different, something that the younger generations expect. We've got to continue adapting and it's about connecting by speaking in the most natural way. I'm sure it'll be a good show", he finished.
