Atletico still consider signing Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is still looking for a project that will guarantee him Champions League football this season. At Manchester United, he will not be able to do so and he is looking for that possibility no matter what.

According to 'Sport', Atletico consider in a positive way the signing of Cristiano, as they believe that the Portuguese, only for what he generates in terms of marketing, would make the transfer price with the Red Devils worthwhile.

Atletico, however, have to sell some players in order to reduce their wage bill. The departure of Alvaro Morata, as well as Saul and Lemar, will be one of the keys to the operation.

Cristiano would also be willing to make a financial effort and reduce his salary. Jorge Mendes, his agent, would help with this. There is talk of a 30% cut on what he currently earns.

The Portuguese is only left with Atletico among the big teams in Europe to play in the next Champions League. However, the Spaniards are discussing his signing due to the opinion of their fans, who are against him because of his Madrid past.
