Atletico Madrid squad list for Villarreal clash

Atletico Madrid travel to Villarreal on Sunday without Yannick Carrasco, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Jan Oblak, Memphis Depay, Jose Maria Gimenez, Reinildo Mandava and Rodrigo de Paul. All seven are missing from a squad that includes the return of Marcos Llorente and Thomas Lemar, as well as academy players Abde Raihani, Salim El Jebari and Adrián Corral.
Carrasco, due to a nose surgery, is finally unavailable for the game, as is Kondogbia, due to knee problems, which adds to the known absences of Oblak, Memphis, Gimenez, Reinildo and De Paul, leaving the coach with 15 first team players fit for the clash, including Mario Hermoso, who returned to training on Saturday after his fatherhood on Friday.
Marcos Llorente, now recovered from the muscle injury that has kept him out of the last five weeks of competition, and Thomas Lemar, who has recovered from a slight muscle complaint that has kept him out of the last two games, are also ready.
Simeone has called up four players from the reserve team: goalkeeper Antonio Gomis, as has been the case in each of the last seven matches due to Oblak's absence through injury; defender Adrian Corral and youth strikers Salim El Jebari and Abde Raihani, who are making their debut in a first team squad list.
They join the 15 available first-team players: goalkeeper Ivo Grbic; defenders Nahuel Molina, Matt Doherty, Axel Witsel, Stefan Savic, Mario Hermoso and Sergio Reguilon; midfielders Koke Resurreccion, Pablo Barrios, Saul Niguez, Marcos Llorente and Thomas Lemar; and forwards Alvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann and Angel Correa.
