Atletico continue moving for Barca left-back Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso is a long-time Atletico Madrid target. The Spanish club have tried to sign the Spanish full-back on several occasions, all of them before he joined Barcelona.

Now that he finishes his contract at the end of the season, Simeone's side will move again for the defender for next campaign, according to 'Marca'.

Axel Witsel and Mario Hermoso end their contracts with Atletico on 30 June. The departure of at least one of them forces to go to the summer market and the first name that appears is that of Marcos Alonso.

The fact that he can play both at full-back and centre-back is one of the characteristics that Simeone likes the most, especially when he changes formation in the middle of a game.
