Torino have decided to prolong Ansaldi's contract. He was one of the players whose contract expired at the end of this month.
Ansaldi, born in Rosario in 1986 and who came through the Newell's Old Boys youth system, was under contract until 30th June, but he extended it for two months to be able to finish the season, which is planned to end on 2nd August.
The Argentine, who was previously at Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan, amongst others, played 16 matches this season and scored 4 goals, before being out for several weeks between January and February due to a calf injury.
Some physical discomfort also saw him miss the start of the resumption of the Italian league on 20th June against Parma, although Ansaldi was on the bench 3 days later in the match against Udinese.
Alongside the Torino LB, manager Moreno Longo, full-back Lorenzo De Silvestri and Kosovan goalkeeper Samir Ujkani also renewed.
