Manchester United conceded a rather easy goal in the second half at the Hawthorns, allowing West Brom to take the game right down to the wire.

Gareth Barry came on at half-time with West Brom trailing 2-0. The experienced English midfielder poked in the first goal of the Alan Pardew era, but the goal was doubly special for Barry himself.

After beating Ryan Giggs' Premier League appearance record earlier this season, Barry set a far more peculiar record by netting against the Red Devils.

The goal was his first after coming on as a substitute in 6,812 days, with the previous one coming when he played for Aston Villa against Nottingham Forest in April 1999.

He has since played for Manchester City, Everton and the Baggies, as well as collecting 52 caps for England.
