Roma striker Umar Sadiq is close to becoming yet another signing for Steven Gerrard's Rangers.
Steven Gerrard has tried to revitalise the Rangers squad this summer by bringing in a range of new faces to Ibrox, as the club look to challenge Glasgow rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership.
The former Liverpool captain, who was appointed as the club's manager in April, has added eight new players to his squad so far, including Allan McGregor, Jon Flangan and Sheyi Ojo.
Now, the club are looking to confirm the signing of Sadiq, who has been on the books at Roma since 2015 where he scored twice in six games in his first campaign.
Since then, he has spent several periods on loan away from the club, with spells at Bologna and Torino in Serie A where he failed to get on the scoresheet.
However, he managed to improve on that record for Dutch club NAC Breda when he scored 5 times in 12 games in the second half of last season.
The player has rrived in Glasgow and the deal is expected to be confirmed shortly.
Rangers start their season in the qualifying rounds of the Eruopa League, before getting their domestic campaign underway against Aberdeen on 5th August.
