Spain suffered a double injury blow inside the first half hour of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Luxembourg as both David Silva and Alvaro Morata had to be replaced.

Silva hobbled off with a sprained right ankle after just 10 minutes in a second injury blow for Premier League leaders Manchester City in as many days.

Striker Sergio Aguero is expected to be sidelined for a number off weeks after he limped off with a hamstring injury in Argentina's 2-0 defeat by Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

Juventus striker Morata was then stretchered from the field with a calf injury to be replaced by Paco Alcacer.

Arsenal's Santi Cazorla scored five minutes from the break to give the European champions a 1-0 half-time lead.

Victory will qualify Spain for a tilt at a third consecutive European Championships victory in France next year.
