Nuno Espirito Santo labels rumors of a bad relationship with Benzema as 'Bullsh*t'
Speaking on the sidelines of Al-Ittihad's 0-4 win over Al-Riyad, Nuno Espirito Santo was keen to dispel rumours of a bad relationship with Karim Benzema.
Rumours of an alleged bad relationship between Karim Benzema and Nuno Espírito Santo prompted the latter to clarify matters in a press conference following Al Ittihad's 4-0 win at Al Riyadh on Matchday 3 of the Saudi Pro League.
"I read in the press that my relationship with Karim Benzema wasn't good, everyone who knows me knows that, of course, it's bullsh*t," said the Portuguese coach.
"My relationship with all the players is good, we have a strong group, we are happy with all the players, we are happy that Karim is here with us. He's happy on the pitch, you can see that, he loves playing for Al-Ittihad. I understand what's going on... but we're a strong group, a very strong group," he added.
The French striker opened the scoring for his team against Al Riyadh before setting up team-mate Saleh Al-Amri.
