Neymar is top of the list if we look at recent goals and assists. AFP

Neymar has his own world inside the world of football. But in recent months, talk of him going to parties, carnivals, Barca and getting into trouble off the field has gone away. He is the goal machine at the moment. Whether it be scoring them or making them. A ProFootballDB report makes clear that no one has produced more than him in the last two months.

People were keen to see Neymar doing things which only he can do. The public were tired of the player's other side. Luckily, football has shown us once again the marvellous striker that he is. And he knows it, he feels important. Highlighting the goalscoring contribution of the best players on the continent is enough to see this. He leads the way

ProFootballDB's stats for matches in all competitions in the last two months sees Neymar lead the way with 19 goals to his name. 11 scored by him with eight assists. No one is better than him.

Curiously, despite being known as a goalscorer, his passing to teammates is what has him top. Furthermore, he and Sancho have the most even spread of goals and assists out of the five players.

Does that mean we are seeing a more unselfish Neymar? Obviously the fact he is playing in such a lethal front three for PSG means there are plenty of chances for those who play up top

The full table is as follows:

Neymar (PSG): 11 goals, 8 assists, total: 19

Mbappe (PSG): 11 goals, 6 assists, total. 17

Ronaldo (Juve): 14 goals, 1 assist, total. 15

G Jesus (Man C): 11 goals, 4 assists, total. 15

Sancho (Dortmund): 8 goals, 6 assists, total. 14

Kylian Mbappe has also netted 11 times, but he has given two assists less so he is on 17 goals with direct contribution.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in 10 of his last 11 fixtures, but his great goalscoring form is not enough to put him in first. He has scored more goals than anyone else with 14 goals, but given just one assist, so he is in third

Gabriel Jesus is also joint third with the same stats as the Portuguese. 11 goals and four assists in the last two months.

The top 5 is closed with one of Europe's finest young talents and a large amount of money will soon be paid for him. We are talking about Jadon Sancho, who is a very good striker with eight goals and six assists, He has still not turned 20 and he is a very good player.
