One more week, the controversy in Spanish football has been focused on refereeing. This time, Jose Luis Munuera Montero was in the spotlight after refereeing the Osasuna-Real Madrid match and sending off Jude Bellingham for disrespect towards him. Right after this, the Andalusian referee was removed and investigated by the RFEF for a possible conflict of interest between the activities of his company and his work as a referee. Something that, on Thursday, has already been denied.
On these complaints, Mallorca player Dani Rodriguez wanted to give his opinion, who was blunt: “Those who complain the least are the ones who have to complain”. And he went further: “The rule is... don't make mistakes against Real Madrid”.
He was ironic about Bellingham's insult and his 2-match suspension: “The sanction was what was expected, I saw the game and, about what he said, I don't control it at all... that's why I'm studying English”.
Finally, Dani Rodríguez also wanted to comment on the incident involving his relatives in Saudi Arabia during the Spanish Super Cup: “We knew that we were not going to get anything; everything has been left in limbo, I found out what happened when I arrived at the hotel and it is unfortunate that it happened”.
