Portugal got through to the quarter finals after easily getting past Switzerland. However, Crisitano Ronaldo did not start the game and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, wanted to send a message on Instagram after the Portuguese started on the bench.
Portugal were way too strong for Switzerland. Fernando Santos' side got through to the quarter-finals after an exhibition on how to play.
However, Crisitano Ronaldo did not play a part until the 74' minute. The Portugal boss decided to rest, from the start, his main star, something which did not fit well neither with the player nor some fans.
Later on, his current partner Georgina Rodriguez, posted a message on her Instagram account with what she thought: "What a shame that we weren't able to enjoy the best player in the world for 90 minutes. The fans didn't stop wanting you to come on and shouting your name".
And she ended it with a piece of advice to Fernando Santos: "Let's hope that God and your true friend Fernando stay close and make us experience another magical night".
