Neil El Aynaoui has given the green light to a five-year contract with AS Roma, signalling his desire to join the Serie A side this summer.

The 24-year-old midfielder, currently at RC Lens, is now awaiting agreement between the two clubs to finalise the move.

Roma are currently negotiating a deal worth €22 million plus €3 million in potential add-ons. While discussions remain ongoing, the Italian club have made it clear that they will only proceed under terms they consider favourable and are prepared to walk away should the conditions shift.

El Aynaoui, a Moroccan-French player known for his composure and tactical intelligence in midfield, is seen as a key target by new Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who is looking to reshape the squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

With personal terms already agreed, the pressure is now on Lens to respond positively to Roma's structured proposal. Should a breakthrough be reached in the coming days, the midfielder would become one of the club's first major signings of the Gasperini era.
