Portugal manager Fernando Santos has hailed his match-winning striker Eder, following his heroics in the Euro 2016 final against France.
Eder entered the field on 79 minutes and did not disappoint.
The former Swansea flop scored a long-range effort, with the ball nestling into the bottom right corner of Lloris' goal.
Fernando Santos praised the Lille striker, saying: "But we needed someone to play up front and to let the team come up. We needed someone to play up in the air to make it harder for the French later on.
"When he came on he said 'gaffer, I am going to score' and the ugly duckling scored - he is now a beautiful swan."
