The January transfer window is drawing ever closer and Barcelona are starting to look at signing new players. Of course, the approval of new coach Xavi is required and his team will be taking on Espanyol in the derby this Saturday.
Recently, Man City's Raheem Sterling was linked with the Catalans although the latest information suggest that the move will not be able to be carried out in January and the club will have to wait until the summer.
While Sterling's arrival at the club remains a doubt, 'Sport' says on its front page this Wednesday that Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea is Barca's second choice if they cannot get the England international.
The cited media outlet says that it would be a loan deal and that Barca believe they have a chance of completing the deal. The Moroccan is not a nailed on starter under Tuchel and he could look for minutes elsewhere.
If the 28 year-old joins Barca, the versatile attacker would be a terrific signing for the Catalans.
