Atletico Madrid fans have yet again made headlines for the wrong reasons as they were filmed making what are now becoming far too common racist chants towards Vinicius Junior outside the Metropolitano.
The Brazilian star was also targeted with disgraceful chants by 'Colchoneros' supporters before their Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Barcelona last month - even though Real Madrid were not involved in action that night.
While on February, Vinicius was hit by death threats, with fans singing "Vinicius die", time round they were heard calling the 24-year-old a "chimpanzee" ahead of the Madrid derby in the second leg of the Champions League last 16.
The chants were initiated after the 'Rojiblancos' supporters had already welcomed their team bus into the stadium. It is a shame to see such an incredible atmosphere, elevated with the use of numerous flares, be ruined by something like this.
