Wales won the game thanks to a stunning free-kick from Harry Wilson, adding to his collection at club level, giving them their second Nations League victory.
It was the first game they have played without one of Bale or Ramsey in the squad since Ramsey made his debut in 2008. For Allen, that can only be a positive.
"It was important for us to cope without those two players," he said.
"Everyone knows that they're special players, but it's important for us as a team to work to get a result when they're not here."
Wilson's goal was his first in Welsh colours, and he is a recent addition to the squad. Allen reserved praise for him and a number of other youngsters given a chance by Ryan Giggs.
"They've brought enthusiasm and freshness and talent and ability, which is the most important thing," he added.
"They're all good lads that are willing to learn and really enjoying the experience of international football.
"To get thrown out there in a game like that and come away with that type of performance and win says volumes about what they've got as players."
